Employee Journey Map for Zapier Teams

Map every moment that matters, together, without the sticky notes.

Top brands trust Pyn

Pyn's free Employee Journey Designer turns a daunting, whiteboard-and-sticky-notes exercise into a fast, collaborative map of every moment that matters, from before day one to after the last day. Teams start from hundreds of ready-made moments and touchpoints rather than a blank page.

Employee Journey Map is free, and it runs standalone for now — you can start using it today by uploading your own people data. If there's enough interest we'll build a direct Zapier integration so it syncs automatically. Book a demo and we can cover it.

The payoff is clarity and alignment. People teams can see the whole experience, prioritize what to improve, assign owners, and get cross-functional buy-in, so effort goes where it lifts the experience most.

If Zapier connects to it, Pyn can trigger it.

Pyn already knows the moments that matter — someone joins, gets promoted, changes teams, goes on leave, or leaves. Zapier connects to thousands of apps. Put the two together, and any of those moments can set off an automation in whatever tools your team already runs.

Connect Zapier to Pyn, and every lifecycle event becomes a trigger you can build on.

What it does

Pyn can fire a webhook to Zapier as a step inside any Flow. That request carries employee data tokens — the employee’s name, role, team, start date, and any other relevant details — straight into your Zap.

From there, Zapier takes over: create the record, send the message, update the sheet, kick off the sequence. Whatever comes next lives in Zapier, and Pyn provides the trigger and the data.

What you can automate

Onboarding provisioning — When a new hire is enrolled, Pyn can trigger a Zap to create accounts, order equipment, or add the employee to the right groups — with their name, start date, and job title already in the payload. The process starts without anyone in HR kicking it off.

Offboarding and access revocation — When a departure is recorded in your HRIS, Pyn can trigger a Zap to revoke access, archive accounts, or notify the right teams. The same consistent process every time — no chasing, no gaps.

Role changes and permission updates — A promotion or team transfer often means a change downstream. Pyn can trigger a Zap the moment a role change is recorded, so the right systems update without HR having to flag it separately.

Anything else in your stack — Because Zapier connects to thousands of apps, any lifecycle moment in Pyn can drive an action almost anywhere — CRMs, spreadsheets, ticketing tools, internal databases, and more.

How to connect

How does Pyn connect to Zapier?

Pyn fires a webhook as a step inside a Flow. You point that step at a Zapier “Catch Hook” trigger, and the Zap runs whenever Pyn detects the event.

FAQs

Can I include employee details like name and start date in the automation?

Yes. Pyn tokens pull in employee data from your connected HRIS, so the webhook payload can include the employee’s name, start date, job title, team, and more — as long as that data exists in your HRIS or ATS.

Can I trigger multiple Zaps from a single Flow?

Yes. You can add multiple webhook steps to a single Flow, each pointing to a different Zap. One enrollment can trigger automations across several tools simultaneously.

Can I use this for automations other than onboarding?

Yes. Any Pyn Flow can include a webhook step — for offboarding, role transitions, parental leave, or any lifecycle moment that requires action in another system.

Does Pyn support other automation platforms?

Yes. The same webhook approach drives n8n, AutomateNow, or your own systems.

Does Pyn also integrate with other tools in my employee journey?

Yes. Most teams pair Zapier with their HRIS connection — which provides the employee data that determines when Flows trigger — and their Slack or Microsoft Teams connection for message delivery.
